Ashanti Shequoiya, also popularly known as Ashanti is an extremely well-known American actress and singer. Ashanti is an United States singer, songwriter and actor. Her talent was first noticed in her teens. The singer signed with Murder Inc. Records, in 2002. The same year she also appeared as a guest on the Fat Joe's What's Luv? song as well as Ja Rule's Always on Time track, both of which were huge hits. When she released"What's Luv which ranked at the second spot on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States and Foolish at #1 and Foolish as her first single, she was the first female to reach this feat. What's Luv? We will be celebrating with you her special birthday. Ashanti Douglas, or Ashanti as she's often referred to was born in Glen Cove New York in 1980. Tina Douglas' mother was an instructor in dance and Ken-Kaide Douglas, who was the mother of the Ashanti Douglas was a vocalist. Kenashia Schia Douglas, her younger sister is older. Ashanti was initially a backup singer on the track of Big Pun, How We Roll. She also appeared on the single by Fat Joe,"What's Luv?" Ja Rule's Always on Time as well as Fat Joe's There is Love. The track was a sample of DeBarge's 1983 single Stay with Me in her debut track Foolish. Ashanti has released her debut self-titled album in 2002. It was released via Irv Goti's Murder Inc. label. The Declaration the fourth studio album, was launched on June 3, 2008. Hey Baby (After The Club) came out on radio stations and digital platforms on the 16th of October. The actress starred in the movie Christmas in the City and as Latasha the character Montclair from Army Wives. Aitch was a sampler of Rock wit U in his Baby on March 10, 2022 song.
